NVIDIA Breaks Ground on $700 Million AI Factory in Fort Worth, Bringing America's AI Supercomputer Production to Texas

On July 21, NVIDIA and manufacturing partner Wistron broke ground on a $700 million AI manufacturing facility that will assemble and test some of the world's most advanced AI supercomputers, work that until now has largely been performed overseas. The project represents one of the largest AI manufacturing investments in North Texas history and is expected to create approximately 800 new jobs, while positioning Fort Worth as the centerpiece of NVIDIA's U.S. AI supercomputer manufacturing strategy.


The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for both Texas and the United States, as demand for AI infrastructure continues to surge. At the same time, local officials are wrestling with how to balance rapid technological growth against increasing concerns surrounding data centers, land use, electricity demand and community impact.


A Major Shift in Where AI Is Built

For years, much of the world's advanced AI hardware has been assembled in Asia.

The new Fort Worth facility changes that.

Instead of relying primarily on overseas production, NVIDIA's newest U.S. manufacturing hub will assemble and test advanced AI supercomputers domestically before they are deployed to AI data centers and computing facilities around the world.
