đŻ Competition Format
Age-Based Divisions
Athletes are grouped by age as of January 1 of the season across the following brackets:
7U, 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U, 29U (new), 30+ (new)
Standard TNL Event Structure
Scoring: 1 point per obstacle; no penalty for falls.
Falls: Unlimited, but time is capped - run ends at buzzer, not necessarily final obstacle.
State Finals â Two-Stage Format
Stage One:
Mirrors typical TNL scoring (1 point per obstacle).
Finish run at buzzer or last obstacle.
All qualifiers (5+ points) participate.
Run order: Based on total season points; highest scorers run last. Boys and girls run separately but on the same schedule.
Stage Two:
Top 50% of athletes per division advanceâplus any who fully clear Stage One.
Order determined by Stage One performance.
Athletes accrue points until their first fall; they may continue for experience but not score.
đ Age & Gender Details
Competitive separation by gender: men and women do not compete against each other for placement or awards.
However, finals run schedules combine boys and girls.
Shifting age divisions during the season affects which bracket you compete in.
𧊠Strategic Insights
Consistency matters: Attending multiple TNL events helps secure a better run order, even if you're not always on the podium.
Peak performance: Aim to clear the course in Stage One to guarantee advancementâStage Two only admits top 50% plus clearers.
Qualification timeline: Register early in the season to maximize qualifying opportunities.
