Texas Flood Latest Update: More than 173 missing

Over 100 Lives Lost: Officials have confirmed at least 111 fatalities across six Texas counties, including 57 adults and 30 children in Kerr County alone.

More Than 170 Still Missing: “We will not stop until every missing person is accounted for,” said Texas Governor Greg Abbott, as search efforts continue across the region.

Diminishing Hope: Rescue teams are still combing through debris and affected areas, though the likelihood of finding additional survivors is decreasing.

Rain Remains a Concern: Weather forecasts predict scattered showers and storms across the I-35 corridor and Texas Hill Country today, with a risk of isolated downpours.

Tragedy in New Mexico: In a related incident, flash floods have claimed the lives of at least three people in Ruidoso, New Mexico—an area still recovering from devastating wildfires last year.

The search for more than 170 missing individuals entered its sixth day Wednesday, following the devastating flash floods that swept through Central Texas.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced during a Tuesday press conference that at least 110 people have been confirmed dead, while over 170 remain unaccounted for. Rescue crews continue urgent operations, scouring debris and flood-damaged areas in hopes of locating survivors. The weekend storm triggered a sudden and extreme rise in the Guadalupe River, pushing it to levels rarely seen in recorded history.
